At the beginning of April, I moved from Chelsea, Quebec to the Sunshine Coast in BC. I’m renting a little industrial unit, and I’ve spent most of the past two months getting this new workspace set up. I wasn’t expecting how much work it would be, but fortunately, my dad came over for several weeks to help with all kinds of things including electrical, lighting, internet, and assembly of 3D printers. I’m now resuming the fabrication of drivetrain parts. I’m not sure how long it’ll be before we outgrow this place, but it’s perfect for now.

Supre Drive parts will be manufactured here in BC. We’re outsourcing the CNC machining of aluminum parts to local machine shops and we’re assembling the derailleur, chain tensioner, and idler pulley right here in our workspace. From the feedback during the reveal the Supre Drive in November, we know that lots of folks are keen to ride this drivetrain, and this workspace is a big step toward making that happen.

If all goes to plan, there’ll be an exciting update for you folks shortly before Eurobike in July. A bike company will reveal an awesome bike with the Supre Drive. I’ll keep you posted.
